Madame Tussaud's at the Venetian Hotel CasinoThe Venetian Hotel Casino is the host to Madame Tussaud's museum in Las Vegas, which holds over 100 wax figures. The figures represent well known personalities and celebrities in music, film, television, sports, politics, and more. All of the clothing worn by the wax figures belonged to the actual celebrities they portray, which adds to the exhibit's appeal. Visitors are encouraged to approach, touch, take pictures, and be photographed with the figures, so be sure to bring a camera. Exhibits and and wax figures are frequently changed and new ones added. Madame Tussaud's museum also periodically conducts surveys to help it determine which celebrities its Visitors would like to see the most. In 2003 Madame Tussaud's at the Venetian added special dynamic exhibits that let visitors experience a small slice of a celebrity's life such as hitting a golf ball with Tiger Woods or going before the American Idol judges. Those exhibits include "Divas Las Vegas", "American Idol", "One-on-One with Shaq", "Puttin' a Round With Tiger", and "The King in Concert". The museum further includes a showcase that teaches about some of the techniques used to create the life-like wax figures. Each figure takes about six months and a budget of more than $45,000 to create. Location: 3355 Las Vegas Boulevard South (Center Strip at the Venetian Hotel Casino). Phone: (702)862-7805.
